If you have completed the "Your first steps in oenology" module, you have come a long way to arrive here in the language of "wine". You'll learn much more in this online course. We will teach you how to recognize wines and wine-based drinks.

Broadly speaking, these are drinks made with red, white or rosé wine, sparkling or still. Depending on the recipe, syrup or liqueur may be added.

You'll discover many of them if we just mention the Kir. This is a traditional Burgundy cocktail, made with crème de cassis and Burgundy Aligoté white wine.

It's delicious! There are even ready-made mixes on the market. Who knows, you might even come up with your own recipe. Of course, they contain much less alcohol.

You will also learn to identify any wine among many others with ease. No need to rack your brains over a supermarket shelf. You will know what a grape variety is and the most famous appellations.

Without getting too technical, it is a variety of vine that produces a specific grape. Each grape variety has different leaves and seeds.

By learning the different abbreviations, you will be able to decipher and identify any bottle of wine. Not bad, is it?

Unfortunately, not many people in Madagascar are still interested in wine. But it is a booming sector. In particular, the Higher Institute of Science and Technology at the University of Fianarantsoa, which opened in 2015, offers an oenology course. But that doesn't mean you don't need to know a lot about wine.

As a sector that still has a lot to offer, the wine industry is constantly growing. Many experts are currently venturing into the exploration of all kinds of wine-based cocktails.

And as we all know, wine is also a star in the kitchen. In this sense, many hotel and culinary professionals are inviting wine into their kitchens to make it a miracle.

All these reasons lead us to believe that wine, as harmless as it may be, has many uses and applications. But the real value of wine lies in how it is consumed and how it is made.

In any case, you will not become a wine and tasting expert in a few hours. You don't need to put yourself under pressure.

All you need to succeed in this course is a good dose of willpower and the joy of discovery and tasting. You'll feel more comfortable in front of a connoisseur.

Don't worry. We will show you all the tricks of the trade to become the James Bond of wine.
